SCOPE: The Key Account Manager helps Sirtex achieve its sales objectives in Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala by actively managing key accounts, developing new accounts, managing the sales budget, and collaborating with other teams and distributors to implement the plan.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops annual sales plan, quarterly updates, and revisions aligned with the approved India business plan.
- Develops territory sales targets and expense budget in conjunction with the National Sales Manager.
- Manages all sales expenses.
- Works with the NSM in managing key opinion leader (KOL) relationships, speaker development, and conferences.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resource sales needs.
- Keeps up-to-date on industry trends and disease-state information.
- Interacts and cooperates with all company employees.
- Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on customers, collaborates, solves problems, and demonstrates high integrity.
- Maintains professional internal and external relationships aligned with company values.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with support departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the National Sales Manager - India.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Science/Business degree
- Minimum 10 years related industry experience, with oncology/interventional radiology experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years medical device/pharmaceutical sales management experience, including people management.
- Ability to interact with patients, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and internal functions.
- Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Strong leadership skills.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Complies with all formal training events.
- Adheres to Sirtex Corporate Policies, Quality System procedures, and Health, Safety and Environment Management System procedures.
