Lawyer - Brand & Customer Experience

A permanent role to provide legal advice across "customer and product" touchpoints - focusing on the following key strategic areas:

• Endeavour's trade agreements (including vendor trading terms for our retail and hospitality business, and other merchandise related contracts from time to time)
• Competition and consumer law, including assisting the senior lawyer with ACCC clearances for strategic acquisitions of new assets and providing advice on general competition issues including marketing and pricing queries from time to time.

Where business requirements require and capacity permits, the role will also be expected to support across other brand & customer experience areas including, privacy, brand, loyalty and digital initiatives.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Joining a team of 8 other lawyers, collectively reporting into the General Counsel - Regulatory, Brand & Customer experience, this role is part of Endeavour's Regulatory, Brand & Customer Experience legal team.

The team is all about bringing together the key elements of our customer and regulatory touchpoints in one place. This role represents a superb opportunity to use your specialist legal and business partnering skills, and commercial acumen to provide advice and support across a range of matters.

You will be pivotal in relation to Endeavour Group's contracts with trade vendors across our retail businesses, hotels, including own brand products and wineries.

This role will also provide support on strategic acquisitions and, where required, data, privacy, digital, loyalty and other brand-related matters.

The role supports our businesses Group-wide including Dan Murphy's, BWS, ALH Hotels, Pinnacle Drinks, EndeavourX, our wineries and various corporate functions.

Now let's talk about you:

• Degree in law, a legal practising certificate and 3-5 years post admission experience.
• In-house legal experience in a large and complex organisation, preferably retail
• Experience in a top-tier law firm highly regarded
• Expertise in autonomously drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Experience or willingness to upskill in competition law, digital, data, privacy and brand.
• Taking a commercial/practical approach to facilitate the business objectives
• Strong technical capability
• Working in an agile manner with the ability to prioritise
• Working autonomously, with support from the Senior Lawyer and General Counsel as appropriate
• Communicating with clarity
• Thinking holistically and strategically
• Making pragmatic, risk-based judgements
• Well-honed interpersonal skills, team player, capable of building trusted relationships with stakeholders
