ServiceNow is seeking a motivated and commercially-minded lawyer specializing in Corporate and Company Law in India to support the group's growth in-country.
The position reports to the Senior Corporate Counsel in Dublin and manages legal and compliance matters for Indian entities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in ServiceNow's Corporate Legal team and work on challenging legal issues.
Responsibilities:
- Managing statutory compliance, corporate governance, and company secretarial matters for Indian entities.
- Providing business-oriented, risk-based advice on compliance and corporate/company law issues in India, including ensuring filing deadlines and compliance are met, and staying updated on legal and regulatory changes.
- Coordinating and attending board/committee meetings for Indian entities.
- Supporting corporate matters for ServiceNow's corporate structure, particularly relating to Indian entities (e.g., inter-company loans, dividends, capital injections).
- Partnering with cross-functional teams (Legal, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Finance) on in-country matters.
- Assisting with document execution in India.
- Supporting other members of the Corporate Legal team on various projects.
- Working with external counsel and corporate service providers.
- Acting as the 'face' of Legal for stakeholders in India and building a high-performance culture.
- Providing support for different regions (APJ and ANZ) as needed.
Qualifications:
- Indian law degree
- 3+ years of relevant legal experience
- Strong experience in Indian Corporate and Company Law
- Some international and in-house experience preferred
- Knowledge of IP, software/technology licensing, and commercial contract law
- Superb organizational skills
- Business-oriented, proactive, flexible, and capable of making sound decisions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- Strong analytical, issue-spotting, and investigatory skills
- Fluency in English
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leveraging or thinking critically about integrating AI into work processes.
