Full-Time Payroll Manager - Americas

Payroll Leader manages and supports payroll for the Americas region (5 countries, >2,100 employees). Leads the Americas payroll team to execute accurate, timely, and compliant payrolls.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage payroll for 5 countries (US, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico).
2. Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
3. Support implementations, divestitures, and acquisitions.
4. Ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
5. Reconcile tax liabilities and withholding taxes.
6. Review, coordinate, and implement new processes and systems aligned with global payroll initiatives.
7. Administer payroll policies, procedures, and regulations.
8. Collaborate with HR, Stock Plan Administration, Benefits to maintain compliance.
9. Train, lead, and support a team of Payroll Specialists.
10. Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all supported countries.
11. Own the entire Americas payroll process (time & attendance) ensuring accurate and timely processing, delivery, and reconciliation.
12. Process multi-country global payroll (exempt/non-exempt) including new hires, terminations, stock income, fringe benefits, bonuses.
13. Oversee and ensure payroll tax & regulatory reporting compliance, including year-end reporting.
14. Perform necessary approvals and controls.
15. Partner with Internal Audit to ensure SOX and audit procedures are met.
16. Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and regulations.
17. Enhance payroll systems and procedures based on changes in local tax laws, company programs, and policies.
18. Support employees on international assignments regarding taxes.
19. Identify and mitigate operational & regulatory risks.
20. Improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and service delivery.
21. Stay updated with payroll and tax legislation.
22. Provide high-value customer service to employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years’ relevant payroll experience managing people and overseeing large, multi-country payroll operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, process mapping, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership experience in building teams and fostering collaboration with cross-functional departments.
• Experience developing and leading a payroll function focused on process, controls, and compliance.
• Experience in developing and enhancing internal processes and controls.
• Expert knowledge of US tax regulations and reporting.
• Working knowledge of payroll systems (Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP Celergo, ADP Global View, etc.).
• Familiarity with complex HRIS system workflows.
