NationBuilder is seeking a People Operations Manager. Reporting to the VP of People & Operations, this role is a hands-on HR position focused on contributing to a thriving community culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing and optimizing daily HR operations, encompassing people analytics, compliance, HRIS/payroll maintenance, employee benefits administration, and internal communications.
- Ensuring people systems align with business strategies and compliance/operational requirements.
- Serving as an expert on the HRIS and payroll infrastructure, partnering with finance for domestic and global payroll.
- Collaborating with IT, finance, and other departments to execute projects and develop sustainable workflows.
- Leading testing and promotion of new releases, configuration changes, and integrations.
- Monitoring and resolving interface issues with compliance and third-party vendor solutions.
- Utilizing data to support reporting and analytics, driving action and meeting compliance requirements.
- Collaborating with teammates for consistency, best practices, process improvements, and system knowledge.
- Partnering with the Employee Benefit broker to manage the Employee Benefit program.
- Managing all leaves of absence.
- Communicating people-related matters to staff.
Required skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS administration, configuration, and user maintenance, including data loads, troubleshooting.
- Experience managing HRIS operations across organizations and projects.
- Ability to use best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- 2+ years of experience administering Employee Benefits programs and leaves of absence.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws, statutes, and regulations related to benefits, payroll, and HR.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management and effective written communication.

Compensation: $115,000 - $145,000 USD
