The Rare Sales Associate supports and builds relationships with physicians and clinics, executing marketing and sales strategies. The purpose of this position is to build trust and establish effective business relationships with health care professionals, enhance territory coverage where there is an existing need for additional resources and support, all while demonstrating integrity and honesty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing and executing strategic business plans based on local market conditions, supporting the Sr. Account Executive in the territory.
- Promote products to healthcare providers and conduct sales calls to offer compliant solutions for patient needs.
- Provide double coverage for high-priority healthcare providers and reach out to previously uncontacted providers.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, payer landscape, and patient advocacy groups.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share market insights and continuously improve through feedback.
- Demonstrate knowledge of payer coverage for promoted products.
- Ensure operational compliance to the highest professional standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Travel: Up to 80% of the time.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required
- Experience: Up to 2 years in biotech or pharma. Strong interest in pharmaceutical sales.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet financial obligations, with understanding of clinical knowledge, business acumen and account management.
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver’s license.
- Technology/Equipment: Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
