Job Details
FreedX is seeking a talented Regulatory Lawyer to join our expanding team. We're a new cryptocurrency exchange committed to a seamless, secure, and innovative trading experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Advise on global licensing strategy expansion.
- Manage crypto and payments license/registration applications (including Regulatory Business Plans).
- Engage with local regulators and represent FreedX during regulatory applications.
- Advise business and control functions on legal obligations (VASP regime, MiCA, EMRs).
- Guide the business on new product launches through collaboration with internal teams.
- Oversee financial promotions ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior lawyers.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of relevant financial regulation experience (in-house or law firm).
- Team-oriented, proactive, entrepreneurial mindset to increase company optionality.
- Strong understanding of crypto regulation (especially MiCA).
- Interest in the crypto industry and FreedX's mission.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team.
Nice to Haves:
- In-house and law firm experience.
- Experience working at a regulator.
