Job Details
The Retail Sales Representative role maximizes revenue and ensures customer satisfaction in retail locations in the Boston and surrounding territory. Key responsibilities include:
- Training, coaching, and driving sales revenue across Millwork, In-Home, and Pro sales departments.
- Managing account relationships and supporting the full Fiberon/Therma-Tru/Fypon product line.
- Grow top-line sales within assigned territory across several product lines.
- Develop a strategic approach to calling on accounts, focusing on impactful growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute effective sales training programs with a focus on brand differentiators and premium sales growth.
- Take ownership of the assigned territory by building relationships with key store sales associates and management.
- Ensure all new and remerchandised stores are set on schedule with appropriate displays, signage, and pricing.
- Drive Pro Business by developing relationships with Retail Pro Associates, partnering with distributor sales teams to call on focus stores, implement focused sales programs, building brand awareness, and participating in retail “Pro-Events.”
- Drive R&R revenue by developing and supporting Retail In-Home Sales Consultants.
- Manage a travel and expense budget while meeting territory sales goals.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with distributor partners to facilitate team goals.
- Work cross-functionally to develop sales messaging, new product recommendations, and POP changes.
- Work with Customer Service to facilitate claim inspections and recommend corrective actions.
- Recommend changes for proper in-aisle stock assortment to maximize sales.
- Ensure merchandising standards are met on each visit.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Sales experience is preferred.
- Experience in the millwork or decking industry is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in Sales or Marketing – compensation to review based on actual job scope.
- Understanding of sales process and cycle.
- Strong client and customer relationships.
- Building materials experience preferred.
- Understanding of quality process.
