About Baseten: Join our dynamic team at Baseten, revolutionizing AI deployment with cutting-edge inference infrastructure.

The Role: As a Sales Development Representative, build a qualified pipeline by engaging potential customers. Outbound and inbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc. Work with sales and marketing to meet customer needs.

  1. Build revenue pipeline by setting introductory meetings with potential businesses and key decision makers.
  2. Diligently respond to inbound inquiries and determine potential product fit.
  3. Help influence Baseten's product roadmap for customers and prospects.
  4. Identify high-potential businesses and verticals and develop outbound strategies.
  5. Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments.
  6. Manage and document the progression of the sales pipeline.
  7. Drive pre- & post-engagement at industry events.

Requirements:

  • 9+ months experience in sales/lead generation in high-tech/SaaS.
  • Develop strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Collaborative and coachable, looking to improve skills.
  • Handle rejection and stay persistent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Basic understanding of a standard SaaS seller's technical stack (CRM, Outreach/Salesloft, etc.).
  • Excellent time management, process, and prioritization skills.
  • Preferred experience with Cloud or Security sales.
