Job Details

As part of the European Acoustic & Thermal Sales team, the Sales Engineer will manage and grow Pyrotek’s sales of technical products and solutions to core Acoustic & Thermal market customers in Germany and Austria.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for established sales accounts and prospecting for new customers.
  • Preparing, pricing, and presenting quotations.
  • Establishing a working relationship with customer base.
  • Negotiating pricing and stocking agreements.
  • Providing technical support to customers and resolving problems.
  • Maintaining awareness of competitor’s activities.
  • Developing and reviewing customer stocking agreements.
  • Assisting to resolve customer accounts receivable issues.
  • Meeting/exceeding sales and gross profit targets.
  • Setting final new prices, margins, quotations on new products or services.
  • Fielding territory customer calls, receiving orders and responding to customers.
  • Visiting customers for selling, building rapport, and training.
  • Researching and resolving customer problems and requests.
  • Documenting complaints and/or feedback from customers.
  • Utilizing Contact Management database (CRM) to complete trip reporting.

Requirements:
  • Ideally bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical discipline, plus 5+ years of related work/sales experience.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM tool and/or other reporting functions.
  • Passion for providing a high level of customer service and business development activities.
  • Mechanical Aptitude and Business Acumen.
  • Ability to build relationships and sell technical solutions in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, judgment and keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Mandatory: German mother tongue and English very fluent.
