As part of the U.S. Foundry Sales team the Sales Engineer is responsible for:
- Generating revenue growth for Pyrotek’s products and solutions in the aluminum foundry industry.
- Cultivate and enhance long-term relationships with existing and new customers.
- Tailor customer solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow assigned sales territory accounts.
- Proactively identifying decision makers for initiating the sales process.
- Effectively negotiating pricing, minimum order quantities, and supply agreements with customers.
- Promptly providing technical support and resolutions to customers.
- Soliciting sales of new or additional products, preparing pricing, and presenting quotations.
- Continuously maintaining awareness of competitors’ activities.
- Prospecting new customers, preparing pricing, and presenting quotations.
- Review agreement levels versus actual performance to ensure customers meet agreement terms.
- Assisting as needed to resolve customer accounts receivable issues.
- Presenting internal and customer technical presentations, as requested.
- Meeting/exceeding sales and gross profit targets.
- Actively strategizing with management on sales tactics.
Provide effective sales support and ensure customer expectations are met/exceeded for assigned sales accounts and products:
- Regularly visiting customers at their facilities.
- Gathering data, drafting and pricing quotes, and preparing reports and/or presentations.
- Setting final new prices, margins, and quotations within company pricing guidelines.
- Appropriately fielding customer calls, handling orders, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Partnering with customer service, operations, and supply chain to ensure order fulfilment expectations are met.
- Fielding and resolving customer complaints concerning billing or products.
- Researching and addressing all customer problems and requests.
- Establishing positive and collaborative working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline, plus three (3) years of technical sales and/or customer-facing roles, preferably within the aluminum or foundry industry.
Valid driver’s license required.
