About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our expanding sales team, driving growth within the Retail Vertical. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals—including our Chief Revenue Officer. Assigned to strategic retail accounts across North America, the Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing the customer account strategy and works closely with customer success to increase Ordergroove’s footprint within designated accounts.
The position requires an ability to understand and articulate Ordergroove’s value to customers and partners up to the C-level. Candidates must have a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota and experience with value or solution-based selling.
Responsibilities:
- Formalize a go-to-market strategy within qualified strategic accounts, exceeding annual sales targets.
- Engage and develop relationships with C-level executives, positioning Ordergroove solutions using strategic value-based selling, business case/ROI development, and references.
- Manage complex sales cycles; manage the entire sales process engaging the appropriate resources such as Solution Architects, Client Success, Executives, and Partners.
- Ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with an emphasis on generating new revenue through up-sell and cross-sell business while ensuring revenue retention through account renewals.
- Generate short-term results within assigned accounts whilst maintaining a long-term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation.
- Accurate quarterly forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue delivery using Salesforce.
Requirements:
- 8+ years successful sales track record in meeting or exceeding assigned quota up to $2MM.
- History of closing high 6-figure to 7-figure deals.
- Relevant sales experience in enterprise SaaS technology.
- Deep understanding and successful track record of working with major Retailers.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including excellent presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of solution/consultative selling.
- BA or 4-year degree equivalent.
- Accustomed to working remotely.
Bonus points for:
- Familiarity with the eCommerce landscape.
- Experience working within a fast-growing SaaS startup.
- Familiarity with sales platforms like Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, etc.
