Senior Business Development Manager
The Commercial discipline drives business growth, manages partnerships, and provides industry expertise and advisory to clients and internal teams.
The strategic and consultative team creates meaningful client relationships through combined knowledge of IT services and industry trends and pain points.
Members include business development staff of all levels, client partners, alliances and partnerships managers, industry advisors, and operational leads.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor selling IT Professional Services to potential clients, showcasing exceptional capability and building long-standing relationships.
- Identify potential target clients via lead generation strategies, cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
- Execute the full client sales cycle, from client acquisition to deal closing and revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
- Negotiate, manage, and close strategic new business deals.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, consistently delivering revenue goals.
- Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on technology challenges within the healthcare industry, applying deep industry knowledge.
- Exceed personal financial goals by growing your book-of-business and achieving uncapped commission.
- Participate in speaking events, workshops, panels, and conferences to share expertise and insights.
- Participate in external industry events.
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of new business development experience in selling offshore/nearshore IT Professional Services.
- Significant Healthcare (Biotech, Pharma, Life Sciences or Med Devices) experience, strong understanding of industry trends and challenges.
- Existing network of contacts and/or previous customers in the Healthcare industry.
- Experience leading strategic new business development initiatives.
- Sales-driven, hunter-centric experience (prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, presentations, negotiations, closing contracts, building relationships).
- Strong ability to identify industry pain points and persuade VP/C-level decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Proven track record of success in new business development, achieving £5M+ quota per year.
- Experience preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and statements of work.
- Travel required.
