Full-Time Senior Contracts Counsel

Experian is seeking an experienced attorney with several years of experience in complex agreement negotiation for clients. This role is part of a high-growth team within the Experian Employer Services division.

Responsibilities Include:

• Negotiating contracts with clients directly.
• Working with various agreement types including professional services agreements, RFPs/RFQs, NDAs, evaluation agreements, standard terms, remediation amendments, service level agreements, and master services agreements.
• Collaborating with legal, compliance, finance, sales, and product teams.
• Enforcing contracting policies and managing approvals for non-standard terms and pricing.
• Supporting sales teams with contract administration and advising management on risks.
• Providing training to sales and other departments on contract issues and negotiation strategies.
• Facilitating deal execution while minimizing risk to Experian.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in any state.
• 4+ years of experience (ideally in-house or contracts).
• Experience working in a large, sales-driven environment.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, including leading client negotiations.
• Direct experience negotiating key contract terms (Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, Termination, Data Security).
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and accounting rules for software and custom development projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DocuSign, and Adobe.
• Preferred: Direct experience creating contract records in Salesforce, Salesforce reporting, and document approvals/deviations within Salesforce. Familiarity with state and federal privacy laws (FCRA, GDPR, CCPA, HIPPA)
