Experian is seeking an experienced attorney with several years of experience in complex agreement negotiations. The role involves working with clients on a variety of products and services, focusing on employer services (verifications, unemployment claims, tax credits). Agreements can include: professional services agreements, RFPs, RFQs, NDAs, evaluation agreements, standard terms, remediation amendments, service level agreements, and master services agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate solutions that meet Experian and client needs, ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, finance, sales, and product teams.
- Enforce contracting policies, manage non-standard terms and pricing approvals.
- Assist sales teams with contract administration and advise management on risks.
- Train sales and other departments on contract issues and negotiation strategies.
- Facilitate deal execution while minimizing Experian's risk.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school; bar admission.
- 4+ years experience, ideally in-house or contracts department.
- Comfortable in a large, sales-driven environment.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, including leading client negotiations.
- Experience negotiating key contract terms: Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, Termination, Data Security.
- Familiarity with aligning contract terms to revenue recognition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and Adobe.
- Preferred: Experience creating contract records in Salesforce, Salesforce reporting, document approvals, and deviations within Salesforce; Familiarity with state/federal privacy laws (FCRA, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
