Experian is seeking a seasoned attorney with several years of experience crafting complex agreements to join the high-growth Experian Employer Services team. You'll directly negotiate contracts with clients, focusing on employer services (verifications, unemployment claims, tax credits). Agreements may include professional services agreements, RFPs, RFQs, NDAs, evaluation agreements, standard terms and conditions, remediation amendments, service level agreements, and master services agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate creative solutions that meet Experian and client needs while upholding compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, sales, and product teams to complete transactions.
- Implement contracting policies and manage approvals for non-standard terms/pricing.
- Assist sales teams with contract administration and advise management on risks.
- Train sales and other departments on contract issues and negotiation strategies.
- Facilitate deal execution minimizing risk to Experian.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from accredited law school; bar admission.
- 4+ years relevant experience, ideally in-house or contracts.
- Comfortable working in a large sales-driven environment with business and technical teams.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, including client negotiations.
- Direct experience negotiating critical contract terms (Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, Termination, Data Security).
- Familiarity aligning contract terms with revenue recognition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and Adobe.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CIPP certification
- Salesforce contract record creation, reporting, and document approvals.
- Familiarity with state/federal privacy laws (FCRA, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
