About the position: KIPP Foundation is raising funds for One KIPP. Our strategy is to align all regions and schools to best practices in K8 literacy, K8 math, high school, Match, and leadership development. This will equip 75% of students for positive college and career outcomes. Expanding champions invested in KIPP is critical.
About the role: Three Senior Directors, Major Gifts are sought. Reporting to the CDO, responsibilities include identifying and cultivating individual donors to invest in KIPP nationally and regionally, raising $5-20 million annually, managing major gifts, and partnering with 2-5 KIPP regions to cultivate local donors.
Fundraising: Identify and cultivate individual donors, raise $5-20 million annually, primarily from new prospects and existing champions, and lead the acquisition of new donors for national and regional work. Conduct outreach to at least 20 prospective champions annually. Develop and execute engagement plans for investors.
Collaboration: Partner with 2-5 KIPP regions to understand local needs, set fundraising goals, and collaborate on donor engagement. Partner with KIPP Foundation leaders in relationship-building activities.
Skills: Passion for KIPP's mission, relentless focus on results, effective communication, strong partnership skills, critical thinking, cultural competence, and commitment to equity. Strong fundraising experience is required, with a track record of bringing new donors into an organization and maintaining donor relationships.
Experience & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in fundraising, preferably with experience in the K-12 or charter school sector.
Work Conditions: 30% travel. Full-time exempt position.
Location: Preferred, but not mandatory, to be based out of a KIPP Foundation office (NYC or Chicago). Remote work option available.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $165,000-$195,000. Benefits include generous PTO, paid parental leave, comprehensive health plans, and other perks.
