Independently advising various divisions on national and international commercial and contract law, handling related disputes.
Drafting, reviewing, evaluating and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
Advising specialist departments on legally relevant matters in daily business, warranty, and product liability cases.
Legal analysis and structuring of processes to safeguard business opportunities, minimize damage, and risks, requiring an understanding of the entire supply chain (sales & purchasing).
Early recognition of challenges and legal trends in the automotive industry, especially in supply chain disruptions with complex contractual and public law implications, allowing for creative solutions.
Proactive legal advice and support for decision-makers in implementing legal requirements and changes.
Legal support for interdisciplinary projects, including complex automotive development projects.
Conducting training courses for employees on legal topics.
Representing company divisions in contract and settlement negotiations.
Selecting, managing and supporting external lawyers and notaries.
Successful completion of law degree and 2nd state examination (preferably with honors), admission as an in-house lawyer or comparable degree from English or French-speaking country desirable.
Ideal initial experience in commercial law, ideally in an automotive or supplier sector, in an international environment, with knowledge of matrix organizations.
In-depth understanding of economic and technical interrelationships, and interest in technological developments.
Strong “hands-on” mentality, quick reaction to events, development and concise communication of legal strategies to business partners/decision-makers, and joint representation vis-à-vis contractual partners.
Confident MS Office user, open to legal tech and AI topics.
Ability to work in a team, demonstrate flexibility and strong communication, self-reliance, solution-orientation, cost-consciousness, and independence.
Business fluent in German and English (ideally acquired abroad), additional language skills (especially French) desirable.
High intercultural competence, basic understanding of business and legal cultures in and outside of Europe.
Occasional travel.
