Job Details
We are seeking a senior-level Strategic Account Manager to lead and grow partnerships with national REITs (Real Estate Investment Trust) and large ownership groups for A Place for Mom.
This highly strategic role combines relationship management, consultative selling, and data-driven insights to drive occupancy, revenue, and retention across a national portfolio.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of REIT structures, capital deployment strategies, and operator dynamics, along with strong financial and strategic acumen to influence enterprise-level outcomes and align our solutions with partner goals.
Responsibilities
- Own and Drive National REIT Strategy: Serve as the primary strategic partner for designated REITs and ownership groups, aligning A Place for Mom’s value proposition with each client’s investment priorities, operational models, and long-term portfolio strategies.
- Influence Capital Allocation and Portfolio Planning: Act as a thought partner to REIT executives and asset managers, providing data-driven insights that inform capital deployment decisions, operator investments, and growth initiatives across markets and assets.
- Lead Enterprise-Level Relationships: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders, including REIT leadership, asset managers, regional operators, and capital partners, to create alignment, unlock new opportunities, and expand product adoption.
- Develop and Execute Strategic Growth Plans: Craft customized growth roadmaps for each REIT portfolio that drive occupancy, improve conversion, and increase move-ins through targeted initiatives, programmatic solutions, and operational excellence.
- Position and Sell High-Impact Solutions: Identify gaps and opportunities within each portfolio and position A Place for Mom’s evolving suite of solutions — including data products, conversion tools, marketing support, and operator engagement strategies — to address them.
- Serve as a Market and Portfolio Analyst: Continuously monitor account performance and market conditions to anticipate trends, surface challenges, and provide strategic counsel. Present performance reviews and opportunity analyses to executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Enhance Operator Engagement: Partner with REITs to align incentives, support operator performance, and facilitate education around best practices, product adoption, and lead conversion strategies.
- Represent APFM at Industry Forums: Attend national conferences, leadership summits, and site visits as a brand ambassador — sharing thought leadership, elevating relationships, and gathering market intelligence to inform strategy.
