The Role (in a Nutshell): This Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager role supports technical product marketing across the Chainguard portfolio. The mission is to make the software supply chain secure by default. Users include platform teams, SREs, and security engineers at sophisticated organizations. This role translates technical product depth into engaging content, tools, and messaging for practitioners and technical decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop messaging and positioning to highlight how Chainguard secures software supply chains for engineering and security teams, communicating value to technical decision-makers.
- Collaborate with technical enablement and field teams on training, certifications, and tools to ensure successful product launches.
- Scope, create, and manage technical components of product launches (e.g., blogs, demos, diagrams, webinars, tutorials).
- Develop high-impact technical content (solution briefs, blog posts, recorded demos, videos, white papers).
- Conduct competitive research, translating findings into internal tools (battlecards, matrices) and external content.
- Support demand generation and DevRel efforts by creating technical narratives.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align messaging with product direction.
- Engage regularly with customers and users to gather insights, test positioning, and understand use cases and pain points.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of technical product marketing experience in B2B SaaS (ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, or security).
- Cloud Native experience (containers or Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Hands-on technical experience (e.g., sales engineering, solutions engineering, DevOps, platform engineering).
- Experience building/supporting demo environments.
- Strong ability to clearly and persuasively explain complex technical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing technical content.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, technical environment.
