We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to sell sponsorship packages internationally. Joining a successful conference team to strengthen our fast-growing Energy Storage & Solar events portfolio in APAC and the Middle East.
Role Accountability and Duties:
- Close and repeat high-value business at conferences.
- Maximize revenue through sponsorship sales.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers to do business and build accounts.
- Identify and secure new customers to major accounts.
- Set and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs agreed with your line manager.
- Manage a sales pipeline document for reporting purposes.
- Forecast sales pipelines accurately on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Gather product and company feedback from clients and prospects.
What you bring to the team:
- Solid and proven background in sales (conference sales preferred).
- Proven track record of winning new business and managing existing clients.
- Able to sell on a concept and provide a consultative sales approach.
- Enjoy working in a KPI-driven environment.
- Able to travel globally to events and pitch in person.
- Identify new product or event ideas to senior management.
- Desirable, but not essential: Experience with CRM (Salesforce), Market knowledge (EV, Solar, Energy Storage).
Skills needed:Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills, international travel, sales acumen, knowledge of the solar and renewable energy market.
