MasteryPrep is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead our efforts in identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional candidates to support our mission of making high-quality test preparation accessible to all students.
In this role, you’ll spearhead the development and enhancement of our recruitment strategies, leveraging tools like LinkedIn Recruiter to actively source high-caliber candidates and build robust talent pipelines for every role.
Your focus will be on cultivating relationships with top talent, strengthening our recruitment brand, and delivering a seamless, standout candidate experience.
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will also oversee our established, full-service hiring process, acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers.
From scheduling interviews and coordinating communication, you’ll enable managers to focus on evaluating and selecting the right candidates while you handle the filtering and logistics.
This role requires a strategic mindset, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and the ability to balance tactical execution with long-term hiring initiatives to meet MasteryPrep’s ambitious growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively source candidates for current and future roles using LinkedIn Recruiter and other proactive recruitment strategies to build a diverse talent pipeline.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, and facilitating seamless handoffs to hiring managers for interviews.
- Oversee and enhance our established full-service, centralized hiring process, ensuring efficient scheduling, clear communication, and an exceptional candidate experience.
- Work closely with managers to support employee retention through improved hiring alignment and onboarding practices.
- Collaborate with Marketing and HR team members to elevate employer branding and improve the visibility of MasteryPrep as a great place to work.
- Analyze and report on recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, hire satisfaction, and retention, using data to optimize recruitment strategies.
- Drive process improvements to continuously enhance hiring efficiency, quality of candidates, and overall candidate experience.
- Support the planning and execution of recruitment campaigns, including for large-scale hiring initiatives such as contractor hiring for seasonal needs.
- Stay current on talent acquisition trends, tools, and techniques to keep MasteryPrep competitive in the job market.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter or similar active sourcing platforms.
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset, capable of identifying gaps and developing solutions to improve hiring and retention processes.
- Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring across various roles and levels.
- Experience supporting high-growth organizations with ambitious hiring needs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and other stakeholders to refine and execute recruitment strategies.
- Experience developing and delivering training in areas such as interview techniques.
- Knowledge of recruitment metrics and experience using data to inform decision-making.
- Experience leveraging the latest technology within applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset with a strong focus on delivering results.
- Previous experience in ed tech or related environment is a plus.
- Must reside in one of the following U.S. States: AL, AR, CA, FL, GA, IL, KY, LA, MA, MI, MS, NY, NC, OK, SC, TN, or TX.
