Who You'll Work WithArista is looking for an individual to join our German team as an Account Manager for a new regional business area, focusing on building and growing all aspects of sales across a list of accounts within the territory. This role requires a self-starter with sales leadership skills, to grow revenue and build opportunity pipeline.
Key to success will be identifying and qualifying major IT spends of leading companies, building a strong engagement plan, creating pipeline opportunities across Arista's portfolio, translating customer priorities into Arista's solutions.
Regional presence and knowledge of the industrial and economic environment are important.
What You'll Do
- Exceed measurable sales objectives and extend the Arista brand.
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities across the Arista product portfolio (Data Centre, Campus Networking, Cloud WI-FI, POE switches, Routing Platform, Cloud Vision, DMF Fabric Monitoring, NDR, Endpoint, AI-driven Network Identity Management).
- Utilize a consultative selling approach with client stakeholders.
- Generate new opportunities and sales presentations.
- Meet with key decision-makers to present Arista's value proposition.
- Partner with Arista Systems Engineering to design solutions that drive down total cost of ownership.
- Work closely with Arista sales partners and channel team.
- Conduct demand generation activities (happy hours, lunch-n-learns, technology forums). Manage a Demand Creation campaign.
- Collaborate with Arista peers on marketing plans.
- Keep up-to-date with technology partner solutions, competing solutions, and competitor strategies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar vendor or partner role.
- Knowledge of selling networking equipment, data center, and/or network automation solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to discuss Arista's value proposition at initial meetings and engage with all end-users.
- Familiarity with current industry trends and the role of Virtualization, SDN, Cloud.
- Strong work ethic, winning mentality, and excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) – MBA desirable.
- Fluent German and English.
- Currently resident in Germany.
- Proven navigation of End User requirements definition through the contracting and resale processes.
- Proven track record of building business plans, documenting processes, and exceeding sales targets.
- Passion and enthusiasm for storytelling to present the Arista story convincingly.
- Technical knowledge or technical background highly desirable.
