About this Job This role oversees a segment of NielsenIQ North America Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) sales across the portfolio (Consumer Behavior & Insights, Innovation, Brand & Media, and Analytics & Activation). It entails creating account strategies for retention and growth, executing sales processes (prospecting, value creation, negotiation, closing). The role is accountable for pipeline management, sales forecasting, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for SA&I revenue target/quota.
- Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities.
- Articulate SA&I offerings and value proposition, matching them with client needs.
- Overcome objections and client resistance.
- Understand client strategy and effectively communicate with cross-functional partners.
- Develop and execute annual client strategies and account plans.
- Identify business growth opportunities, additional revenue streams.
- Represent all SA&I services and practice areas.
- Create and manage SA&I responses/proposals for various study types and RFPs.
- Liaise with internal resources (Specialty Sales, Product Leadership, Operations).
- Troubleshoot high-visibility client concerns and escalate to senior leadership.
- Lead client meetings to penetrate C-Suite.
- Drive sales strategy, awareness generation, and ongoing engagement.
- Follow internal processes, including CRM use.
- Maintain product knowledge through learning sessions.
- Partner with Customer Success for healthy client relationships.
- Collaborate with NIQ Account Lead teams on strategy, joint-selling.
- Manage client funds and ensure timely usage.
Qualifications
- 12-15+ years direct sales experience.
- 5+ years market research experience, preferably in Tech & Durables.
- Experience collaborating with and selling to C-level executives.
- Strong prospecting and new business development skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
