Job Overview: Join Guardant Health's growing Screening and Early Detection team as a field-based Associate Account Executive. Support sales strategy and launch new cancer screening technology (CRC liquid biopsy) to healthcare providers.
Essential Duties:
- Prospect and target healthcare providers for high SHIELD utilization.
- Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize budgets, and align with national sales strategy.
- Seek business expansion/collaboration opportunities with primary care providers.
- Develop a business plan aligned with brand strategy for launch.
- Partner with national, regional, and local labs for phlebotomy agreements.
- Identify marketplace opportunities, share best practices, and communicate strategies to cross-functional partners.
- Analyze competitive landscape, provide customer feedback, and recommend strategic plans for gaining/retaining clients.
- Manage all promotional activities in assigned territory.
- Work effectively with multiple departments and the sales team.
- Represent Guardant Health values.
Travel Required: Field-based role; daily travel within territory, regional/national meetings.
Experience Required:
- 2+ years' experience in customer-facing, field-based sales.
- Preferably in healthcare (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical).
- Proven closing abilities and performance exceeding expectations.
- Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong Consultative Selling Skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with diagnostic product sales (blood-based testing/phlebotomy).
- Product launch planning and execution experience.
- Familiarity with primary care practice landscape.
- High-touch customer service skills.
Personal Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to meet doctor office/clinic access requirements.
- Maintain market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Developing and utilizing cross-functional relationships.
- Independent work, proactive communication, multiple project management, and prioritizing.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva).
Salary: $96,000 - $105,000 (US).
Benefits: Benefits and potential bonus/commission/equity not included in salary range.
