As a Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will help plan participants through enrollment and updates to their healthcare and/or pension plans. You'll have flexibility to provide the highest level of service.
Work schedule: 40 hours per week during peak season, with overtime possible. During initial training and off-season, hours may fluctuate between 32-40 hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Building rapport and exceeding expectations with participants.
- Using phone, email, and instant messaging to consistently meet commitments.
- Customizing service to different communication styles.
- Protecting confidential information (HIPAA compliance).
- Translating complex plan information into simple explanations.
- Understanding client plan documents and anticipating member needs.
- Following company and client procedures and guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate call and case notes.
- Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.
- Participating in team meetings and training.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a structured environment, adhering to schedules and protocols.
- High attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to work autonomously in a virtual environment.
- Strong typing skills (30 wpm).
- Prior experience in customer service (preferred).
- High School degree (required)
