Job Details

As a Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will help plan participants through enrollment and updates to their healthcare and/or pension plans. You'll have flexibility to provide the highest level of service.

Work schedule: 40 hours per week during peak season, with overtime possible. During initial training and off-season, hours may fluctuate between 32-40 hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building rapport and exceeding expectations with participants.
  • Using phone, email, and instant messaging to consistently meet commitments.
  • Customizing service to different communication styles.
  • Protecting confidential information (HIPAA compliance).
  • Translating complex plan information into simple explanations.
  • Understanding client plan documents and anticipating member needs.
  • Following company and client procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate call and case notes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Participating in team meetings and training.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured environment, adhering to schedules and protocols.
  • High attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a virtual environment.
  • Strong typing skills (30 wpm).
  • Prior experience in customer service (preferred).
  • High School degree (required)
