As a Seasonal Bilingual Benefits Customer Service Representative, you'll help Spanish and English client members with enrollment and plan updates (healthcare/pension). You'll have flexibility in your work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build rapport and respond to Spanish speakers compassionately and respectfully.
- Maintain professionalism during difficult calls and customize your approach for diverse member styles.
- Safeguard confidential information (medical, financial, etc.) according to HIPAA and Data Privacy laws.
- Translate health/welfare and pension terms into simple explanations.
- Understand client plan documents and online resources to address immediate and future member needs.
- Adhere to company and client procedures and provide accurate information.
- Maintain accurate call and case notes (English).
- Participate in team meetings and training.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Assist customers primarily via phone, with opportunities for chat and messaging.
- Required Skills:
- Strong Spanish language skills.
- Translate conversations into grammatically correct English notes.
- Quickly assess member concerns and formulate solutions.
- Ability to work in a structured environment (adhere to schedule).
- High attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and managing multiple windows.
- Ability to work autonomously and follow instructions.
- Comfortable with remote work and online interactions.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Plus:
- Associate/Bachelor's degree
- Health/welfare/pension plan knowledge
- Call center experience

Starting pay: $17.75/hr, potential increase after one month.
Work hours: 40 hours/week during busy season, overtime when requested; 32-40 hours during initial training/off-season.
