As a Boarding and Applications Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and successful onboarding experience for new merchants. You'll be the go-to liaison between our customers and our processing partners—ensuring everything is ready for a seamless launch.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.
You'll work closely with our Sales, Launch, and Implementation teams to make sure merchant accounts are approved and ready to go before their software goes live.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Partner with Sales to gather required pre-application data
- Collect application documents and guide merchants through the process
- Conduct initial underwriting checks in line with KYC and compliance guidelines
- Accurately enter and board merchant accounts to achieve first-time approval
- Act as the primary contact between merchants and our processing partners to secure approvals
- Troubleshoot and resolve account issues and configurations
- Provide calm, patient support to merchants and resolve escalations when needed
- Build relationships across internal teams to align with launch timelines
- Maintain deep knowledge of our payments products, vendor platforms, and systems
- Represent Daxko as a subject matter expert in our payments products and services
- Stay in compliance with policies and procedures while exceeding performance goals

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
- 1+ year working with credit card processing, ACH processing, banks, or fintech companies
- Proficiency with PC-based tools and software
- Experience managing customer escalations and complex financial workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years in Customer Service
- 2+ years of experience in payments or banking
- Familiarity with First Data Merchant Services
- Deep understanding of risk, reserves, and compliance within payment processing
