Business Development Specialist will join a high-performing sales team, focusing on prospecting and selling for Black Hat and other Cybersecurity events and media. This role requires a motivated and results-driven sales professional with a passion for technology and cybersecurity.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new business via phone and email.
- Sell exhibit space, sponsorships, digital media, and lead generation programs.
- Meet daily and weekly sales call targets and report progress.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve team goals.
- Manage leads, sales orders, and customer data in Salesforce.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide sales forecasts.
- Analyze the cybersecurity market to identify trends and opportunities.
What You Need to Succeed:
- College degree in marketing or sales, with 1+ years of sales or sales support experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, and related software.
- Strong phone sales and prospecting abilities.
- Excellent at building relationships and setting meetings.
- Consultative sales approach with a results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for regional events.
- 1-2 years of sales experience; marketing services sales a plus.
Additional Success Attributes:
- Ability to sell business solutions in the cybersecurity market.
- B2B media or trade show sales experience is a plus.
- Strong listening skills to understand and respond to customer needs.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities and addressing industry challenges.
Compensation: Salary range: $65,000–$75,000, plus commission based on sales performance.
