Job Details
We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier with excellent customer service skills. Cashier will scan customer selections, ensuring accurate prices and quantities, and accept payments. Will issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information about products, promotions, or locations.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, answering questions, helping locate items, and providing advice/recommendations.
- Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
- Balancing cash register and generating reports.
- Accepting payments, ensuring accuracy, and providing receipts.
- Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
- Bagging or wrapping purchases for safe transport.
- Following store procedures for coupons, gift cards, alcohol, cigarettes.
- Maintaining a clean workspace.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service or cashier experience
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- High energy, strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Helpful and courteous approach to resolving complaints
