We are seeking a courteous and efficient cashier.Responsibilities include scanning items, ensuring price and quantity accuracy, handling payments, issuing receipts, answering customer inquiries, providing product information, and resolving complaints. Refunds, exchanges, and maintaining a clean workspace are also key tasks.
Key duties include welcoming customers, answering questions, assisting with locating items, providing advice/recommendations, operating registers/scanners/scales, balancing cash registers, processing payments ensuring accuracy, handling refunds/exchanges/complaints, bagging purchases, and adhering to store procedures (e.g., coupons, gift cards, alcohol/cigarette sales). Maintaining a clean workspace is essential.
Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience (preferred), strong customer service skills, accuracy and responsibility in handling transactions, basic math and computer skills, ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and a helpful/courteous approach to resolving complaints.
