Job Details
We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier with excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities include scanning items, ensuring price and quantity accuracy, accepting payments, issuing receipts, answering questions, providing product information, handling complaints, and processing refunds/exchanges. Maintaining a clean workspace is also essential.
Cashier Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, answering questions, assisting with item location, and providing advice/recommendations.
- Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
- Balancing the cash register, generating sales reports.
- Accepting payments, ensuring accuracy, and providing receipts.
- Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
- Bagging/wrapping purchases for safe transport.
- Following store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, and specific items (alcohol/cigarettes).
- Maintaining a clean workspace.
Cashier Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service or cashier experience.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- High energy and strong customer service skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Helpful and courteous approach to resolving complaints.
