Job Details
We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier with strong customer service skills. Responsibilities include scanning items, ensuring price and quantity accuracy, accepting payments, issuing receipts, answering questions, and providing product information/promotions.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, answering questions, locating items, and providing advice.
- Operating scanners, scales, cash registers.
- Balancing registers, generating sales reports.
- Accepting payments, verifying accuracy, and providing receipts.
- Processing refunds/exchanges, resolving complaints.
- Bagging/wrapping purchases.
- Following store procedures (coupons, gift cards, alcohol/cigarette sales).
- Maintaining a clean workspace.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service/cashier experience
- Accurate and responsible transaction handling
- High energy and strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Helpful and courteous approach to complaints
