We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier with excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Scanning customer selections
- Ensuring price and quantity accuracy
- Accepting payments and issuing receipts
- Answering customer inquiries and providing helpful product, promotion, or location information
- Resolving complaints, processing refunds/exchanges
- Maintaining a clean workspace
- Welcoming customers, answering questions, helping locate items, providing advice or recommendations
- Operating scanners, scales, cash registers
- Balancing cash register, generating sales reports
- Accepting payments, ensuring accuracy, and providing receipts
- Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints
- Bagging/wrapping purchases
- Following store procedures (coupons, gift cards, alcohol/cigarettes)
- Maintaining a clean workspace
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service or cashier experience
- Accurate and responsible transaction handling
- High energy, strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, work in fast-paced environment, and work with team members
- Attention to detail
- Helpful and courteous approach to resolving complaints
