Job Details
General Responsibilities: Research and help develop consumer stories for local TV news segments. Investigate viewer complaints and facilitate dispute resolutions. Assist reporters and segment producers in gathering information. Assess and prioritize time-sensitive news tips and viewer case submissions. Track and report consumer trends. Work with Public Information Officers and Media Relations for dispute resolutions and official statements. Research and update government/NGO resources for viewers. Respond to all viewer complaints. Maintain consistent communication with reporters, news directors, and producers.
Basic Qualifications: Fluency in Spanish and English, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research skills. Excellent phone and communication skills.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Unrestricted work authorization in the US. Submit resume/CV via nbcunicareers.com. Willing to work in the DFW area, south of DFW Airport. Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desired: 4-year college degree (journalism preferred), experience in a related field, local TV newsroom experience. Great organizational skills, multitasking abilities.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $57,000.
