General Job Duties:
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients (delivery to storage, work area, walk-in cooler).
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process phone orders.
- Take inventory and complete paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facilities (approximately daily).
Training: Orientation and on-the-job training provided.
Communication: Ability to understand and provide written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders (phone and in person).
Essential Skills:
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, may use calculator).
- Accurate monetary change.
- Strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
- Eye-hand coordination for precise movements.
- Computer keyboard or touch screen entry of orders.
Work Conditions:
- Exposure to varying, sometimes adverse, weather (trash removal).
- Store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F+.
- Sudden temperature changes.
- Food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters (walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F+).
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing: Talking and hearing on phone. Near and mid-range vision. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments: Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data; make judgments and decisions.
Physical Demands:
- Standing: Most tasks.
- Walking: Short distances.
- Sitting: Paperwork at a desk/table.
- Lifting: Ingredient deliveries (up to 50 lbs, 3' x 1.5').
- Carrying: Small items and occasionally heavier items (pizza sauce, trays of pizza dough).
- Pushing: Trays on dollies.
- Climbing: Infrequent stairs or ladders.
- Stooping/bending: At assembly station, front counter, and stocking.
- Crouching/squatting: Occasional stocking and cleaning.
- Reaching: Continuously, up, down, and forward.
- Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential. Frequent use of one or both hands.
- Machines/Tools: Pencils, computers, phones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
Additional (Driver/Store Management):
- Deliver product to customer.
- Deliver flyers/door hangers.
- Valid driver's license with safe driving record and access to insured vehicle.
- Navigational skills (maps, addresses).
- Navigation in diverse environments (multi-story buildings).
- Carrying (delivery): Pizzas, sides, beverages.
- Driving: Deliveries within designated area.
- Walking/Climbing: Between store and vehicle, to customer's location, potentially multiple flights of stairs.
Work Conditions (delivery): Varying weather conditions, far and night vision for driving.
