General Description: This description applies to all hourly store team members.
Job Duties:
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facilities daily.
Training: Orientation and on-the-job training provided.
Communication: Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders (phone and in-person).
Essential Skills/Functions:
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of calculator).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise movements.
- Enter orders using computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions:
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (trash removal, etc.).
- In-store temperatures range from 36° to 90°+.
- Sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters (walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°+).
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing: Talking and hearing on the phone. Near and mid-range vision; Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments: Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data; make judgments and decisions.
Physical Demands:
- STANDING: Most tasks are performed standing.
- WALKING: Short distances.
- SITTING: Paperwork is done at a desk or table.
- LIFTING: Bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs).
- CARRYING: Small and medium-sized items (cans, pizza sauce, trays of dough).
- PUSHING/PULLING: Moving trays on dollies (up to 7.5 lbs of force).
- CLIMBING: Occasionally navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
- STOOPING/BENDING: Necessary at pizza assembly station, front counter, and ingredient stocking.
- CROUCHING/SQUATTING: Occasional stocking and cleaning.
- REACHING: Up, down, and forward; reaching above 72".
- HAND TASKS: Eye-hand coordination is essential. Frequent use of hands for shaping, manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, and assembling boxes.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
Driver/Store Management Positions (Additional Duties):
- Deliver product to customer doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Requires: Valid driver's license, safe driving record, insured vehicle.
- Essential Skills: Navigation, adverse terrain navigation, carrying product, driving, walking, climbing.
- Work Conditions: Exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Sensing: Far vision, night vision.
