The Solution Consulting (SC) team is ServiceNow's pre-sales group. They play a key role in the sales process by providing exceptional customer interactions.
Their goal is to showcase the power of the ServiceNow platform through customer-focused engagement, combining business knowledge and technology expertise to solve customer problems.
Seeking a Director of Solution Consulting for the US State & Local Government and Education (SLG&E) business to lead a team of pre-sales leaders and solution consultants.
This leader will:
- work closely with SLG&E sales leadership to define strategy and orchestrate team alignment
- engage in sales pursuits, setting clear goals to support business growth
- create an environment where SCs can thrive and grow in their careers, through development, coaching, and enablement.
- build a strong, collaborative team focused on driving results
- partner and engage with Sales leadership to ensure a cohesive strategy
- be a thought leader within the SLG&E market
- collaborate with Partner, Product, Specialty Sales, Consulting, etc. to achieve sales goals
- develop and maintain leadership and individual contributor recruiting pipelines
- partner with Sales, Marketing, and others to develop strategies and execution plans for pipeline generation and sales acceleration
- set, maintain, and coach to standards for presales activities (demos, POVs, technical wins)
Requirements:
- Experience with State & Local Government and/or Higher Education customers, preferably in a pre-sales leadership capacity.
- 8-10 years of experience building and leading pre-sales teams, with demonstrated ability to lead and coach employees.
- Pre-sales experience at a software company is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate at multiple levels (Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Directors, VP's, and CXO's).
- Understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities.
- Desire and capability to manage change and ambiguity.
- Strong execution skills across near-term and long-term objectives.
