Opportunity at a Glance The Specialist, Enrollment serves as a team member with an acute ability to build trusted relationships with current and potential students while using in-depth knowledge of the university's programs and features. Specialists provide excellent service to prospective students to understand their personal and professional development goals to identify the appropriate higher education program to enable their future success.
Responsibilities
- Master the various steps in the enrollment process to include specialized areas such as financial aid.
- Effectively communicate the value propositions of our brands to provide an excellent student experience by offering the right program and start date through various communication methods (phone/mail/fax/direct mail) to enable the prospect to make an informed decision for the appropriate academic program.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address and resolve student issues and ensure a positive student experience.
- Exceed performance standards through personal conduct, individual and team attitude.
- Contribute to the growth of the business by guiding prospective students through the University's enrollment process and assessing potential applicants to determine if they are qualified to apply and enroll in all academic programs, including Doctoral and Alumni programs.
- Conduct quality inbound/outbound communications, increase lead activity, complete/accurate applications, maintain a professional demeanor, and positive working relationships.
- Constantly keep track of, enter information into computer software, ensure accurate student information, and observe confidentiality of information in a regulated environment.
- Maintain positive relationships with students to support program persistence and generate referral activity.
- Collaborate to build strong team relationships with direct team and other functional departments.
- Participate in training sessions and activities to facilitate student enrollments and team collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of customer service, account management, or relationship building experience
- 1+ years of previous admissions experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Preferred
- Confident telephone presence
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently by meeting quality standards
- High-level understanding of products and degree programs offered to students
- Effective time management skills, sense of urgency, and ability to plan and prioritize daily activities
- Consultative skills and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and demonstrate accountability
- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and good judgment
- Successful completion of Enrollment Specialist training, including product evaluations and telephone assessments before certification.
- Compliance with Adtalem Code of Conduct and Ethics policy in all professional activities.
Salary
The expected salary range is between $18.15 and $32.86. Actual pay will be adjusted based on factors like experience, location, licensure, market conditions, and departmental budgets.
