Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Provide analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
Support the Business Partner for Commercial by building relationships with wider Commercial business leads.
Use data-driven analysis and insight to support the Business Partner for Commercial.
Develop and maintain financial models to support financial planning and decision-making.
Analyze large volumes of data to identify trends, performance, opportunities, and risks.
Work closely with other functions to identify key business trends and ensure alignment with the overall business strategy.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure high-quality output.
Prepare quarterly presentations for senior management, including financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
Ensure all reporting is delivered within agreed deadlines.
Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for process efficiency and optimization.
Work closely with different departments to ensure data integrity and resolve any issues accordingly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of profit and loss management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical financial information into relevant and actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience of building analytics capabilities and delivering business intelligence that contributes to decision-making.
- Strong experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and understanding of SQL would be an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant or qualified through relevant experience in an accounting role.
- Previous experience in financial analysis, modeling, and decision support roles.
- Ability to manage teams and develop and motivate team members.
- Experience in engaging with stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide relevant financial information and insights.
- Experience in working within a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, including creating financial models.
- Experience with financial and business intelligence tools would be an advantage.
