Revalize Software is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Global Vice President Legal and Data Protection to lead the global legal function. Reporting to the CFO, this role offers opportunities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, PE-backed software company.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the global legal function, including commercial contracting, corporate governance, risk mitigation, and security.
- Assisting with legal due diligence and legal function integration for newly acquired companies.
- Serving as the Chief Privacy officer, ensuring organizational compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations, safeguarding sensitive information, and implementing policies to protect customer and employee data.
- Communicating effectively with executive leadership.
- Leading a team of legal professionals.
- Tackling multiple projects and efficiently executing deliverables.
- Managing contracting processes for product and service sales (Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Partnership Agreements).
- Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing complex commercial contracts (software licenses, service agreements, partnership deals).
- Driving standardization and continuous improvement of contract terms.
- Serving as a cross-functional business partner, providing legal risk guidance, ensuring business compliance, and mitigating potential liabilities.
- Leading legal integration of acquired entities.
- Overseeing corporate secretarial matters and full legal compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Driving legal entity rationalization initiatives to minimize compliance costs.
- Recommending, implementing, and improving information security and privacy policies, guidelines, and controls.
- Assisting with employee agreements (equity compensation, offer letters, separation agreements).
Requirements:
- J.D. degree and license to practice law.
- 10+ years of progressive legal experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing a global legal team.
- Experience with German law (preferred).
- Solid understanding of corporate, commercial, and intellectual property law, contractual principles, and technology-related subscription agreements for cloud-based offerings.
- Practical knowledge and experience in writing and implementing privacy protection strategy, policies, and procedures, as well as implementing privacy training.
