As a valued colleague on our LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) Asset Management team, you will provide expert advice and guide team members in managing the administration, strategic planning, and operations of an assigned portfolio of LIHTC investments.
Impact:
- Act as a relationship manager with syndicator partners in the development, construction, and operation of LIHTC investments.
- Analyze Multifamily portfolio data, counterparties, markets, legal agreements/terms, financial statements, and cash flows. Identify trends and conclusions from data.
- Resolve problems and develop information to negotiate positions with management and external stakeholders to mitigate financial and credit risk.
- Navigate multiple systems, manage data, and create reports. Ensure data quality and integrity. Improve processes to monitor and communicate credit risk.
- Lead and support action plans for non-routine project-based work (regulatory and internal audit).
- Support a portfolio's vision and strategic objectives. Lead portfolio progress analysis and enact changes; report performance to stakeholders.
- Evaluate risk of current assets, while complying with governance and controls.
- Act as a subject matter specialist within the business unit. Provide knowledge sharing.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years related experience.
- Knowledge of Multifamily market (LIHTC asset management, affordable housing finance, real estate finance, transactions, structures, legal contracts, loan documents, third-party reports, cap rates, credit analysis).
- Knowledge of commercial multifamily real estate markets and property types, focusing on LIHTC business.
- Experience managing Multifamily LIHTC equity assets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate complex ideas to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to collaborate with business units, and strong customer relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, team player, detail-oriented; ability to work on multiple projects.
- Sound analytical skills.
- Navigate multiple systems, manage data, and create reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Desired experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
- Multifamily acquisition and disposition experience a plus.
- Experience with equity/debt portfolio management software (e.g., MRI, Salesforce, Yardi, etc.)
