The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include:
- Repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety & security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), and HVAC systems
- Painting (interior and exterior)
- Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.)
Pay: $23 / Hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Relations: Follow owner's philosophies & wishes in daily operations to meet client expectations.
- General Maintenance Overview: Follow maintenance program, preventative maintenance, and curb appeal policies. Assist with inspections.
- On-call/After Hours Response: Provide emergency services as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Unit Turnover: Inspect & repair vacant apartments, coordinate/assist painting, change appliances.
- General Maintenance Equipment and Systems: Repair & maintain equipment, maintain shops & storage rooms, maintain inventory within budget. Maintain a professional appearance, refer to FPI Dress Code. Provide own small hand tools.
- Other: Enforce community rules & regulations, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain a professional image (dress code).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, ideally in Residential Property Management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and/or CAMT certification preferred
- Valid Driver's License, good driving record, & current motor vehicle insurance. Operable vehicle meeting FPI standards.
- Respirator use required and medical clearance for respiratory equipment compliance.
- Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing.
- Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.)
