The Maintenance Technician is responsible for upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.
Duties Include:
- Repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), and HVAC systems
- Painting (interior and exterior)
- Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.)
Pay: $23 - $24 / Hour
Client Relations: Carry out owner philosophies and wishes to meet Client expectations.
General Maintenance Overview: Adhere to maintenance programs, preventative maintenance, and property appearance standards.
On-call/After Hours Response: Serve as on-call maintenance for evening, weekends, and holiday emergencies.
Unit Turnover: Inspect, repair, and coordinate painting vacant apartments for move-in.
General Maintenance Equipment and Systems: Maintain equipment, shops, and storage rooms safely. Maintain inventory of parts.
Other: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professional image.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (residential property management preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License, good driving record, current insurance, and operable vehicle
- Ability to wear a respirator and comply with facial hair policy
- Proficiency in English
- Basic computer skills
