The Patient Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for all patient programs. They provide exceptional patient experiences through telephonic service, triaging documentation, and initiating patient setup.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage faxes (upload to database, assign to care team).
- Place and receive calls, route appropriately; resolve issues when possible.
- Maintain patient data confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Job Expectations:
- Triaging inbound calls.
- Completing data entry tasks (new patient setup).
- Creating and mailing new patient packets.
- Handling clerical duties (copying, faxing, mailing, filing).
- Supporting special projects.
- Assigning follow-ups.
- Acting as a receptionist backup.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year administrative experience.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Customer service, phone and clerical experience.
Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary role, primarily sitting and standing.
- Regular talking, hearing, typing, and repetitive motion.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Professional office environment with moderate noise level and frequent interruptions.
