The Patient Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for all patient programs. They provide an exceptional patient experience via phone, routing documents and initiating patient setup.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all faxes, upload to patient database, and assign to the correct care team member.
- Place and receive phone calls; resolve issues if possible.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and follow HIPAA policies.
- Complete all other assigned duties.
Expectations:
- Triaging inbound phone calls.
- Data entry tasks, including setting up new patients.
- Compiling new patient packets and timely mailings.
- Clerical duties (e.g., photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing).
- Special project support.
- Assigning follow-ups to appropriate team members.
- Acting as a backup to the receptionist.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of administrative experience.
- Experience with computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
- Ability to obtain Missouri Pharmacy Technician registration (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service, phone, and clerical experience.
Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary role with extended periods of standing or sitting.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, type, engage in repetitive motion, and reach/grab.
- Occasionally lift/move items up to 25 pounds.
- Intermittent stooping, crouching, pushing/pulling, or kneeling.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires mental alertness, verbal and written communication, concentration, detail observation, adaptability, stress handling, and analytical thinking.
- Professional office environment with moderate noise level and frequent interruptions.
Compensation:
$41,000 - $61,500 (USD).
