Regional Sales Director (RSD)
Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives and Account Managers to exceed business objectives. Implement regional strategies for the promoted product line. Customers include office-based physicians, medical directors, key medical and nursing personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration with major U.S. cancer centers, Key Opinion Leaders, and Academic Medical Centers.
- Structure strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
- Hire, lead, coach, and manage a team of Account Executives and Account Managers.
- Implement laboratory services agreements (LSA's).
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve company goals.
- Identify and develop partnering opportunities between prospective oncology clients and GHI.
- Promote compliance with new web-based molecular information tools.
- Analyze competitive landscape to determine trends and provide customer feedback.
- Monitor sales performance to ensure objectives are met.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan (budgets, travel, territory management, goal setting).
- Represent Guardant Health company culture.
- Frequent travel throughout the territory.
Requirements
- 2+ years competitive people leadership experience.
- 3+ years competitive selling experience in healthcare.
- Documented history of leading and influencing a team.
- Ability to motivate and lead a high-performing team.
- Ability to analyze business, identify insights, and develop strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning skills.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Strong positive attitude.
- Understanding of organizational growth and change.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct account management in molecular diagnostics.
- Experience with major cancer centers, oncology GPO's, and large health systems.
- Proven ability to engage, sell, and negotiate with customers at all levels.
- Understanding of payor and reimbursement environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks.
- Strong market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Salesforce.com experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree (life science/biology preferred)

$179,200 - $241,920 (US)
