Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing and developing a group of Account Executives to exceed sales objectives. Leads regional strategies for the promoted product line. Customers include office-based physicians, medical directors, and medical/nursing personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with major US cancer centers, top 20 oncology practices, KOLs, and AMCs.
- Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
- Manage sales territory and individual Account Executives.
- Maximize client-bill contracting opportunities, implement LSA's, and collaborate with all sales positions.
- Identify and develop partnering opportunities between prospective clients and GHI.
- Promote and drive compliance with web-based molecular information tools.
- Analyze competitive landscape, determine trends, and provide customer feedback.
- Monitor sales performance to ensure objectives are met.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan including budgets, travel, territory management, and goal setting.
- Work effectively with individuals across multiple departments.
- Represent GHI company culture.
- Frequent travel (75%+).
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of direct account management in molecular diagnostics.
- 7+ years of experience with major cancer centers, oncology GPO's, health systems, and large oncology practices.
- Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company.
- Previous experience managing remote teams.
Qualifications:
- Ability to provide integrated MolDx solutions using Guardant Health's next-generation sequencing technology.
- Ability to engage in consultative selling and overcome objections.
- Comfortable selling at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO).
- Understanding of payor and reimbursement environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics and the competitive landscape.
- Excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics.
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
- Outstanding strategic sales account planning skills.
- Excellent listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong administrative skills and ability to manage business in complex environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce.com.
- Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
Education:
- B.S. in life science, biology, business, or marketing – MBA preferred.
Salary: $179,200 - $241,920 (US)
