Registrar Advisor opportunity at a Glance
Counsel students regarding University policies and procedures related to enrollment, records, registration, grades, USMLE registration & processing, graduation. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Process high volume of student information through Banner student information system and RightNow CRM. Requires high accuracy, attention to detail, moderate independent judgment.
Responsibilities
- Medical and Veterinary degree audits: review academic records to ensure degree requirements met; communicate with students regarding graduation application and degree audit status; counsel on outstanding requirements.
- Track degree audit status using RightNow CRM; update student records in Banner when degree awarded; receive, process, and mail diplomas.
- Answer phone calls, respond to & resolve RightNow incidents; counsel students on University policies related to enrollment, records, and registration; provide excellent customer service.
- Grade Medical Clinical evaluations, post grades in Banner; analyze affiliate transcripts & evaluations for Veterinary Clinical students, post courses and grades in Banner.
- Process reinstatement applications, leaves of absence, dismissals, and withdrawals in Banner; interpret and apply University policies; communicate decisions to students.
- Update Medical Clinical students' statuses in Banner based on weekly/periodic reports; send proactive notifications regarding status changes.
- Enter NBME Comprehensive Exam & USMLE Step scores in Banner.
- In the absence of Sr. Registrar Advisor, process ECFMG Form 186 for Medical Clinical students; certify on EMSWP.
- Participate in bi-monthly enrollment reporting; analyze data from Banner and other sources; report current and historical enrollment information.
- Process Veterinary student letters of intent; mail to third parties as requested.
- Calculate and track Veterinary student GPAs and class ranks; support transition to Clinical curriculum.
- Process transcripts as needed for Medical and Veterinary students to back-up Registrar Coordinator; register Veterinary Clinical students in Banner.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Higher education experience in enrollment or records (Registrar or Admissions) preferred
- Familiarity with Registrar best practices related to degree auditing and other records/registration policies/procedures preferred.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy required.
- Ability to make independent decisions, work with minimal supervision.
- Quick learner in fast-paced office environment; strong customer service skills, strong computer skills (MS Office, database applications).
- Knowledge of student information systems (Banner preferred).
Compensation
Salary range: $17.15 - $27.36
