Job Summary: As Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will oversee and manage various HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on employee relations issues, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in full-cycle recruitment efforts for key positions, potentially including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and create recruitment strategies.
- Support onboarding processes for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
- Support the development and implementation of performance management processes.
- Coach managers and employees on performance feedback, career development, and improvement plans.
- Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment, benefits inquiries, and managing relationships with benefits providers.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Review, update, and communicate company policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and develop programs to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
- Oversee employee training initiatives and professional development programs.
- Identify and recommend training opportunities to improve employee skills and engagement.
- Compile HR data and create reports.
- Assist in analyzing trends and metrics to address workforce needs.
- Act as backup for all members of the Talent & Culture Team.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and regulations (preferred).
- Experience with PEO and applicant tracking systems (a plus).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and employee-focused.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a generalist or senior-level role.
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred but not required.
- Fluency with Google Suite or MS Office.
- Proficiency using Mac OS preferred.
Physical Demands: Frequent computer use, standing or sitting.
